Description
The village is governed by a village board consisting of an elected mayor and four elected trustees. All elected offices have a term of two years.
Elections are held in the November General Election cycle at the village fire hall. The official newspaper is the Watertown Daily Times. Important notices are posted at the Library, Post Office, Riverside Park, and at the Village Office.
Meetings are held at 6:00 pm on the 4th Monday of each month in the village office at 4059 Cherry Street.
The Village Board also acts as the Zoning Board.

Appointed Positions
The Mayor of the village appoints the clerk, treasurer and village representatives with Board approval.
